death and taxes was formed 5 years ago in the suburbs outside of detroit, michigan, with one basic philosphy in mind: build an organization of people with strong character, and the rest will follow. now, having been together in this form for 3 years, the band has taken its strong foundation to a new creative high in the making of their latest album, "creative differences." the title, of course, is a play on an industry term that typifies the one thing that usually causes bands to break up; in this case, it is the band's strongest asset. the new album spans the spectrum of styles in a fashion that has come to be expected from death and taxes: from power metal to love ballad, to punk, alt, and back again; all tied together with powerful lyrical messages of anger, objectivism, and inspiration.
